I am a fine artist with a background in more traditional media including charcoal, oils and pastels.  In 2008, I purchased a 2nd generation iPhone 3G.  One of the first apps I downloaded was an art app called Brushes.  At the time, I had never used a digital medium to create artwork, NOR did I know that software had been developed to a point where it could simulate more traditional art mediums.  This revelation changed my life as an artist.

For the past two years, I have been using just my finger and iPhone to create art.  Recently, I purchased an Axiotron Modbook (modified Macbook Pro with Wacom Tablet) to work on a larger scale.  I’ve come to rely on these very convenient and handy mediums not just as mobile sketchbooks, but also as a means to create fine art paintings.

I have worked alongside digital and traditional artists from all backgrounds (and locations) to explore tablet art (iPhone/Touch, iPad, and modbook) as a legitimate art tool for creating printable artwork.  The art I showcase on this gallery is a result of this ongoing dialogue.

I believe that tablet technology not only is a legitimate art tool, but it is also offers the convenience of mobility and accessibility to the artist.  It is my goal, through this site, to encourage those seeking a convenient and viable art medium, to consider the digital medium as an option for creating fine works of art.
