On April 9th, I got to share mobile digital art with the young ladies of Louise’s Angels, an org dedicated exposing teen-aged girls to the opportunities within the field of engineering. After a quick talk presentation on mobile digital art, the girls worked together to create 6 collaborative pieces. The pieces in this gallery were created during a Doodle challenge where the group came up with a list of words (light, sun, lamp, moon, spotlight, electricity and stars) to use as inspiration behind the pieces. Each girl doodled one of the words on an iPhones, an iPad or a mini sketchpad and pencil for two minutes before passing the device/pad to the right for the next girl to doodle a new word. The outcome was the following 6 works–which have now been extended to an international community of artists who will add a final doodle/image or edit to the piece before it is printed and returned to the org.
